NASS: PDP chieftain lauds Ekweremadu
ENUGU—A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain in Enugu State, Mr. Stanley Ude has commended Dr. Ike Ekweremadu on his election as the Deputy Senate President for the 8th Assembly.
Rising from an executive meeting at Awgu in Enugu State, Stanley who is the chairman of the PDP Young Democrats in Awgu Local Government, noted that the recent crises that trailed the election of Senator Bukola Saraki as the Senate President and Dr. Ike Ekweremadu as the Deputy Senate President were a divine arrangement which nobody can do anything about.
He also described Ike Ekweremadu as a pillar whose efforts helped in stabilizing the national assembly in the last dispensation.
He equally reminded those kicking against his election and that of the Sen. Saraki that party interference in the election of principal officers have always failed as was the case of the last speaker, Hon. Tambawal in spite of the party’s choice.
He said: Dr. Ekweremadu will definitely work in harmony with his colleagues to achieve even greater result in the present dispensation as our expectation is that one day he will become the president of this great nation.”
